Duncanville five-star forward Ron Holland announced Friday that he has decommitted from Texas. Holland, the top-ranked player in Texas, committed to the Longhorns in November — one month before head coach Chris Beard was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of assault and later suspended. Texas fired Beard in January, and promoted interim coach Rodney Terry to head coach after Texas' run to the Sweet 16 in the 2023 NCAA tournament. Texas will still need to grant Holland a release from his national letter of intent.
