Duncanville remained No. 1 in the latest Class 6A area rankings, but it took an overtime win to do so. For the second time this season, Duncanville was pushed to the limit by No. 6 Cedar Hill. Duncanville, ranked No. 13 in the nation, escaped with a 64-61 win on Friday after beating Cedar Hill 58-53 on Jan. 3. This is a Duncanville team that has won by an average of 20.4 points per game. Only five of its wins have been by five points or less, and Duncanville needed a game-high 24 points from sophomore Kaylinn Kemp to win Friday, extend its winning streak to 17 games and improve to 11-0 in District 11-6A.
