It had the look of something more, with a national-television audience tuning in and ESPN2 cameras prominently stationed at Kincaide Stadium. The game was announced as a sellout, fans tailgated in the parking lot before the game, and long lines of cars waited on access roads to get into the stadium well after the game started. This wasn't just a routine season opener between two powerhouse programs that have combined for 136 wins in the last six years.
